It’s golden with a dense head. The aroma isn’t very charming with notes of mash. The flavour has sweetness and notes of boiled vegetables (mostly cabbage). It ends on a dry note and the overall impression is thin.

Bottle brown, 330 ml
Appearance: Pours pale golden, perfectly clear and intensively carbonated, well saturated body, head is initially medium in size than slowly decreasing to small, frothy, dense with an impressive lacing as for such a beer style.
Aroma: Very pure clean aroma of gentle chalkyness, notes of barley grains but very thin, rice, lemony hoppyness and tomato accents, typical for a clean Low Alcohol beer. Notes of whipped cream and milk. Very pleasant but mild.
Flavour: Very pure, clean, crystallic clear taste, accidity, saltyness and strong chalkyness, distinctive notes of hoppy bitterness, extremely high astringent, lingering on palate, finish duration is medium, notes of tomato soup and rice, gentle lime, bitter hoppyness.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery, dust, chalk, cardboard, finish feel is highly astringent, very salty, clean and somehow flat, carbonation on palate is rather soft.

(Bottle) I am giving this beer such high numerical ratings because I feel I need to offset other raters biases against non-alcoholic beers. This is my favorite non-alcoholic beer. It has the crisp, refreshing bitterness and hop bite that Clausthaler achieves, but it has more complexity to the malt, like Warsteiner. It has a metallic taste, like most German Pilseners, but it is not unpleasant. Of all the NA brews, this one tastes the most like its equivalent, the regular Bitburger. I am impressed! Balanced, complex. This is the cream of the crop when it comes to non-alcoholic beers.
