hazy yellow with an anemic albino head. aroma of bile and skunk feces. acidic flavors that flog my tongue. moldy mouthfeel. finish tastes like Kilz smells.

Vegue vegetable-like aroma. Vegetable-bitter flavor, not overwhelming in any way, but enough to be a bit annoying. Thin.

Not bad for a light beer. One of the better offerings within the style. I would definitely buy this one again.

This is a very good lager for a low calorie. Perfect for those looking for a full taste but less on the waist.

An obviously lighter version of Bitburger. All of the same characteristics, just less of it. Aroma is still dusty, but not as pronounced. One detractor is the thinner body and sharper carbonation. While they do tend to help emphasize the hop presence, they leave my tongue feeling empty. Not bad for a light beer. (Trader Joes - 7.99 a 12 pack!) Get some for the superbowl if your weight concious friends are coming over!

JPDIPSO (6216) - Wauwatosa, USA - OCT 25, 2003
Straw color with a fluffy white head. Light malt and light sharp hops aroma. Somewhat fizzy in feel. Water, but alot of grainy malt. Floral hops flavor with a decent underlying bite. A decent pils, light or not. Losses a bit as it warm, but this was meant to be cold.

Yellow with a slight, whitish haze. Sudzy-white head is not thick, but lasted much longer than I expected. "Beery" aroma. Smooth, with a surprising amount of texture up front ... but then the carbonation becomes crisp and thins things out. Light and grainy malts. Hops were -- surprisingly -- somewhat aromatic (herbal and grassy) and a little bitter. Finished dry and bitter. One of the better "light" beers I've had.

Soft, thin head, complements light body. Very smooth in appearance as well as taste. Not my favorite sytle of beer, but overall enjoyable.

Ernest (7663) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 9, 2003
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, bread), moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Granted, there's not a whole lot here, but this is a very well executed light pils. Heck, this is better than a great many regular strength pilsners. Nice bright hop aroma and an excellent flavor balance. As you would expect, this is somewhere in between the Drive and the regular Bitburger. Like the other two, exceptionally clean tasting.
