COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The classic Bitburger - a mature and most agreeable beer - is brewed with the best of ingredients in the same traditional way it has been for many, many years. The result is delicately tart and pleasantly bitter - with a strong hop taste.

LoZioSpino (36) - Roma, ITALY - APR 11, 2017

Straw to light golden color. Has a grainy aroma, but not really "malty" per se. Smells like macro lager to be honest. Taste was quite hoppy, a bit sweet. Nothing special. This was the first beer I ever drank at the wee age of 17 in Berlin. I didn’t like it then, but it grew on my as I drank more. I get now what I didn’t like about it. Still, above average as far as boring macro-pilsners go.

martpez (219) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2017
Considerably nicer then i remember it. Sharp hops at the front followed by a malty after taste a touch of sweetness to it. Really is better then the average commercial larger. Still the body is thin and carbonated. Making this clearly a macro larger. But a very good one at that. On tap it captures some of the freshness a good German pils. Still it remains a pale imitation.

rumore (532) - Rimini, ITALY - MAR 30, 2017
From 33cl bottle at ZEW, Mannheim, Germany. Pours crisp gold, slightly pale, with abundant white foam. Aroma is very weak of bread and herbaceous. Body is watery, carbonated. Taste is predominantly bitter, though not very pleasant. Some underlying sweetness. Finish is relatively short.

Aroma van: mout, wat grassige hop. Smaak: moutig, gras, verfrissend met een redelijk bittere afdronk.

Aroma of straw, malt... mediocre appearance and taste. It’s OK, but nothing special.

Good beer overall. A little bitter but not as much as some other pilsners. Beer of choice for a lot of people in Germany.
