Draft 1/3/05 (Brewery)-Pours orange with a small head. Aroma of caramel, sweetness, and malt. Taste of the same. This medium bodied brew is one of the better brews Iíve tasted today. AceOfHearts (1374) - Mountain View, California, USA - JAN 16, 2005
Tap. Well, SWEET...they finally brought this back so I can inch a little bit closer to 100% of Bitter End beers. Now if they could just bring back the Hammerhead Porter, which hasnít been on tap for like 9 months and that I somehow missed the whole time...ahh, anyway. Orange color with an off-white head and a little effervescence. Mild and very bready, going well with one of their pizzas. Nice sweet malts that are an interesting and original take on the style. Well done! PorterPounder (7888) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 20, 2004
Had on tap at the brewpub in Austin. Dark golden to light orange pour with a decent white head. Aroma has some fresh lake water accents with a brief hint of honey. Flavor has some sweet honey notes as well with some underlying cotton candy sweetness. Very smooth and drinkable with a thick creamy mouthfeel. One of the best brewpub lagers that I have come. Not strong in any one category but all around a good drinkable lager. austinpowers (2828) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 16, 2003
Nice. Somewhat herbal for a lager and fairly flavorful, as is just about everything brewed by Bitter End. Perhaps my favorite of their brews on tap on this day. Fairly mild.
