750ml bottle. Batch 2. Poured an amber color with an off white head. Floral, herbal, bourbon barrel, citrus and floral. Different for an IIPA for sure. partchapol (143) - Ohio, USA - APR 22, 2017
UPDATED: APR 22, 2017 Smell of hop, honey, tea spice, sweet bourbon, coconut. Come in hazy murky orange with thin cream head. Taste of sweet & tart Bourbon with heavy spiced bitter beer. Taste a bit of hidden rancid fruit. Good try, but may be too much. Don?t feel the balance in taste. First low score for barrel aged beer. rumproasts (6052) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - APR 21, 2016
Bottle. Very hazy amber with small head. Big herbal aroma with light bourbon. Big oaky barrel with plenty of bourbon. A little bit tart. Big floral hops. I’ve had very few bba IPAs where the flavors seemed complementary. This is one. Sammy (12995) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 24, 2015
the higher abv only indicated in alcohol aftertaste. Some tartness and smoothness (the honey). Moderate bitterness. Really..a strong ale. Herbal tea/chai tea aroma. Some lace lines.Smooth for the style. deyholla (12588) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 21, 2015
Bottle. Pours a clear earthy golden orange with a near white head that lasts throughout and laces. Aroma has notes of sweet fruits with a bit of bitter citrus and flora, bourbon and light spice backing. Flavor has a combination of pine and sweet grains with some bitter citrus supporting.

Tap at Clubhouse BFD. Pours honey, white head. Mild lacing. Aroma is citrus, orange, lemon, little bit of honey, there’s a light tropical fruit note. Mostly citrus here. Slightly floral, not getting much bourbon character. Flavor has tons of that bourbon. Super intense and honey for days. The chamomile seems to add something but I can’t put my finger on it. I think that’s the other element. Interesting. Fascinating flavors. I’m loving it. Wow, it’s awesome. So different. alliance100 (1189) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 5, 2015

Pour on tap at One Eyed Bettys, dark orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of nice orange, pine, some grapefruit into a bit of biscuit, bready notes with a touch of grass and spice, touch of oak, bourbon comes through into some of the floral notes. Taste is more indicative of the ingredients, nice floral chamomile, minty notes into some pine, grass, orange, honey comes through with some oak, finishing slightly bitter. Very interesting. umich03jm (3512) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - SEP 1, 2015
Bottle. Aroma is huge chamomile, vanilla and oak. Tastes slightly sweet with honey. Big vanilla and oak barrel to mix with chamomile and flowers. It’s well made for sure but it’s just not my favorite kind of beer. Hope these guys start barrel aging more barley wines, stouts, etc instead of IPAs. Aroma of cammomile mintiness, tannic oak, sweet toffee roasted barrel, passion fruit, clove, very slightest franken scense. Hazy, non homogonized, bronze, swirls of off white foam, some lace. Bitter oregano-hay up front, fades into sweet caramel-passion fruit and sugar water, lingering mild oak tannin and mild bitter hay. Somewhat watery texture. Overall, wow, very nice, unique!
