Bomber thanks to Ibrew2or3, thanks Dave. Pours a deep amber/purple color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet spices, toffee and caramel. A nice flavor; rich berries, some dry yeast, lots of ginger, sweet spices but not overdone. Very dry and nice. 3fourths (9341) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 15, 2011
bottle. mahogany body. orange, ginger and cinnamon all fairly obvious in the nose, with no room for much else. smells like wassail. chewy, sweet, oily approach. rich malt-driven body with medium-to-low carbonation gives it a bulbous chewiness throughout. plum, black cherry and caramel malt flavors with medium orange and mild ginger. mild to medium spiciness in the finish. chewy, sweet, spiced. that about describes it. vacantskies (208) - Spokane, Washington, USA - FEB 20, 2011
The aroma is dry with herbal notes. it is a clear amber color in the glass. The flavor is sour and kind of caustic on the palate. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - JAN 28, 2011
Amber brown color. Tan puffy head. Nice spicy nose. Okay old ale taste and finish. Good middle tear beer. Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - JAN 12, 2011
Bomber of Winter Ale. Pours black with ruby edges and a foamy beige head that fades. Aroma has a mild sweet spice. Taste has the same spice which is fairly mild along with roasted malts. Fizzy. Decent, reminds me of a Dr. Pepper.

Clear brown with an off white head. Aroma has some sourness and butterscotch. Taste is smokey and buttery with toasty malts some brown sugar, spiciness and fruits. Very subtle carbonation with a nice medium body. MilkmanDan (1943) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - DEC 6, 2004
Deep red-brown. Weird nose, starts out smelling like butterscotch and then immediately jumps over to smelling smoky, no real transition. Very strange. Tastes like grapes with loads of pepper, then gets the quick hit of smokiness. It’s a bit sulfury, kind of like the smell of a match. Does have a nice palate, film coats the mouth nicely. Bottle: Redish amber color with a tiny tan head. Medium bodied. Aroma: alcohol, butterscotch, smoke, grapes. Taste: vinous grapes, butterscotch, pepper, smoke, toasted grains. Interesting.
