Bomber thanks to Ibrew2or3, thanks Dave. Pours a deep amber/purple color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet spices, toffee and caramel. A nice flavor; rich berries, some dry yeast, lots of ginger, sweet spices but not overdone. Very dry and nice. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - JUN 21, 2003
Dark brown color. Medium head. Aroma is malty. A medium bodied strong ale. Malts are nutty, fruity and slightly sweet. Hops are mildly spicy. Very smooth. Bottle aging has appeared to improve this beer greatly. There is a nice complexity going on here as well. It’s very smooth, and has a nice sweet molasses, chocolate malty flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. jake65 (4003) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle: Dark amber pour with a rich, creamy tan head. Nose is malty with a subtle spice. Picking up the ginger and orange peel per the description. Flavor has an increase in intensity, relative to the aroma. A little more maltiness along with a strong orange and ginger presence. Picking up a little cinnamon too, which I could do without. Still, this is flavorful and refreshing overall. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 10, 2010
Pours a dark amber. Aromas of malts/toffee/spice. Flavors of malts, caramel, spice, and a lightly bitter finish. Kaya161 (1142) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 20, 2002
Celebrator-type, deep brown colour. Kind of syrupy and harsh. It could use some time in the cellar, but still not too bad. Alcoholic/hoppy aroma. Sweet and malty to start with molasses and then some bitter hops before a very warming finish. It definitely needs to mellow and blend a bit. It's too harsh when young.

on tap-pours an off white head and amber color. Aroma is orange/pine, secondary medium malt-caramel. Taste is orange/herbal hops, secondary medium malt-caramel. 3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 15, 2011
bottle. mahogany body. orange, ginger and cinnamon all fairly obvious in the nose, with no room for much else. smells like wassail. chewy, sweet, oily approach. rich malt-driven body with medium-to-low carbonation gives it a bulbous chewiness throughout. plum, black cherry and caramel malt flavors with medium orange and mild ginger. mild to medium spiciness in the finish. chewy, sweet, spiced. that about describes it. k9coug (116) - USA - APR 7, 2012
Big wollap on the back of tongue. Dissapates quickly, dry finish. Beautiful color, laced the side of glass. I’m getting licorice, though, which detracts. beernovice39 (3269) - Idaho, USA - DEC 12, 2012
