musty spicey mildly malty aroma. dark, pretty stout looking. chocolatey, very syrupy, lot of maple and molasses. jasonp (1581) - Ashburn, Virginia, USA - DEC 6, 2004
Clear brown with an off white head. Aroma has some sourness and butterscotch. Taste is smokey and buttery with toasty malts some brown sugar, spiciness and fruits. Very subtle carbonation with a nice medium body. natejgood (528) - Bozeman, Montana, USA - JAN 8, 2016
Pours a clear medium brown with hints of red. The head isn’t much to speak of but otherwise this is an interesting looking beer. Lightly sweet aroma with a bit of yeast. Taste is sweet with hints of spices. I can’t really taste the ginger, orange or cinnamon specifically. Overall the flavor is of a mildly sweet strong ale. Not bad, but not my favorite winter brew by far. Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - JAN 12, 2011
Bomber of Winter Ale. Pours black with ruby edges and a foamy beige head that fades. Aroma has a mild sweet spice. Taste has the same spice which is fairly mild along with roasted malts. Fizzy. Decent, reminds me of a Dr. Pepper. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - JAN 28, 2011
Amber brown color. Tan puffy head. Nice spicy nose. Okay old ale taste and finish. Good middle tear beer.

The aroma is dry with herbal notes. it is a clear amber color in the glass. The flavor is sour and kind of caustic on the palate. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 5, 2013
Old bottle. No date.
Pours a graham brown with some surface etchings of light tan foam. Smells of cinnamon, brown sugar and some oxidized malts. Tastes of dark, sweet malts, some rye cracker, some coffee grounds and a bit of cinnamon still. Medium bodied with low carb and an off dry finish. I kinda expected this to be infected or overly brutalized by oxygen, not the case. Decent enough
