W cherries at Strange Brew 2017. Too alcoholic and sweet on the nose. No off flavors, just too dialed to 11 to really enjoy, especially in a festival setting.

Poured a clear tarnished gold with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of bread, yeast, coriander and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, yeast, coriander and light fruitiness with a crisp dry lingering coriander finish.

Nose of Belgian yeast with hints of spice. Pours a clear golden hue with a short lived thin white head and no lacing. The taste follows the nose. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, very drinkable and went well with a Ahi salid.

sampled on tap at the San Diego Strong Ale Festival Nov 2008, an event shared with what seemed liked hundreds of ratebeerians and enjoyed mostly through a straw, since my face was a bloody mess of scabs and stitches. I was in doubt about anything made by BJs, but anything barrel aged with brett is worth the try. amber pour. The nose was very sour and fruity. I could sit and sniff this all night. sadly the flavor didn’t match up. it was only slightly tart on the tounge and the flavorws seemed muddle and undefined. still the best thing I’ve had from BJs.

Deep copper in color with a little head. Sour fruity cherry aroma. Apples, grapes and cherry notes. Malty fruity flavor. Very nice. Finish is woody. Tart. Very drinkable.

PP SAF. Is the 2006 Barrel aged with Brett in a syrah oak barrel. Like hapjydeuce said, it was a standout among all of the IIPA’s and IS there. Sour vinaigrette aroma. Dry and sour with some wine like notes and a nice musty funky finish. Notes also say something about oat like flavors. Probably the brett, as I am not super familiar with brews containing it. Poured reddish with not alot of head. Notes say "Amazing!"

Tap @ 2007 Strong Ale Fest. Poured a hazy chestnut color with an off-white head. The aroma was tart with notes of cherry and leather. The flavor too was mildly tart with vinous notes. The finish was woody and tannic. Semi-dry finish.

Draft at PP Strong Ale Fest 07. Reddish copper color with an ivory head. Sour cherry and brett aroma. Slightly sour and enjoyable with a nice cherry note. Big, toasted cereal flavor that reminds me of Cap’n Crunch.

Tasted on tap at the 2007 Pizza Port Strong Ale Festival. This Belgian Strong Ale pours a brownish amber color. Small sized beige foamy head. Aroma is fruity and tart, a touch funky and vinous. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch of funk. The hops are earthy. Lots of vinous quality. Sweet and sour, tart and funky. Nice balance. Interesting beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart.
