On tap at BJ’s in Houston (Brewed by St Arnolds). Pours amber with a white, short lived, foamy head and soda like carbonation. Aroma is of pumpkin, spices and caramel malt. Full, smooth body. Taste is similar to aroma. Short, smooth finish. Good brew.

I tried this at the Eugene location as part of a sampler. Great underwhelming pumpkin taste. One of the better Pumpkin Ale’s I have ever had.

Smells great. Taste is not as interesting. Good beer, but finishing is harder then the first few sips.

SphinxTX (2875) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - OCT 19, 2011
On tap at BJ’s In Mesquite, TX. Pours a clear, deep orange/amber with beige creamy head. Aroma of strong pumpkin, nutmeg, some cinnamon and malt. Flavor is much the same with a strong spiciness and solid malty backbone with a very nice sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium body, medium-high carbonation, solid body. Overall I felt this was one of the tastier pumpkin brews I had this year. Good stuff!

(On draught at Papago). Pours a clear dark copper color with tan head and active carbonation. Aroma has pumpkin, nutmeg, coriander and buttery pie crust. Taste is sweet malt with more spices. Thin bodied with oily texture. Nice pumpkin beer!

on tap at papago 9/9/10. reddish copper color with a lasting white ring posing as a head. weird aroma... feels artificial... spicy, caramel and earthy. the pumpkin in the flavor is very faint but there... as well as some vanilla, malt and the usual spices. kinda sweet and hard to drink. good thing dave is here...5/3/5/3/13-

Orange in color with a decent off-white head. Aroma is of pumpkin pie (cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice, pumpkin). Taste is the same. Just like most every other pumpkin beer out there.

Deep amber pour with a good head. Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin.Lightly sweet, spicy pumpkin pie flavor. A bit thin, but surprisingly not bad.
