8 apr 2013, tap. Apricot, clear, steady bubbles. Nose is mild grapefruit citrus. Thin body and moderately fizzy. Grassy and faint lemon hops. Mild granola malt. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this one during a business lunch in Cupertino. Not too bad, but the good outdoor atmosphere enhanced the enjoyment

ChazMania (669) - Oceanside, California, USA - APR 30, 2013
On tap in Carlsbad, pretty boring IPA in San Diego standards, tastes like a plain pale ale, it's not bad it's just a straight pale not even as hoppy as Dales pale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at BJs Aurora. Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, and resin hops with biscuit and straw malt and pear esters. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness with sweet malt and fruity esters with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Semi-lucent copper. I love inventing vocabulary. The head is white, thi., and lasting. The lacing is blanketous. The aroma is faint, and a little foody and malty. The palate packs a big big. Refreshing. The flavor is dominated by a bittersweet maltiness followed by a bitter, hoppy resin.

PorterPounder (8286) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 17, 2013
Orlando, Fl. - on tap at BJs. Murky dark orange pour - no head to speak of. Bubble gum and crystal malt aroma. Flavor has some hard candy sweetness, just a touch of citrus bitterness, some nuttiness and caramel in the back end. Thick enough mouthfeel - overall tastes a it like homebrew with too many ingredients.

Foxbush (2113) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Draft at brewhouse was on 1604. The IPA poured a light amber with a white frothy head. The aroma had hoppy nose with notes of grapefruits and lemon. The medium body ale had average carbonation. The taste was dry and hoppy with notes of grapefruit. The IPA finished dry and bitter. This is more like an APA than IPA.

Nothing extraordinary here, just a good, solid IPA. Hops aren’t as in your face as in some IPAs, but give a nice flavor on top of a solid base beer. Good choice on a warm day.

On tap st the BJs in Cincinnati. Deep golden color with a sticky off white head. Light citrus hop nose. Sweet mandarin orange and grapefruit juice hop flavors. A little on the thin side. Not very interesting.

Poured up on tap at the BJ’s in Palmdale, CA where I see a clear gold body that supports an off white head of foam. The modest aroma has citrus like clementine going on as well as a more tart grapefruit citrus sensation. The taste is the same with timid citrus hop bitterness from a grapefruit note to a decent level of malt sweetened clementine and grapefruit. This is a nice easy going IPA.
