PotjeBier (3628) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JAN 26, 2013
On tap @ BJ’s Montebello, CA. Golden blond color, hazy. Sticky white head, good lacing. Aroma’s: hop, citrus, a bit earthy. Retronasal it’s very strong hops, acidic, flowery, a bit earthy. Flavor is bitter, but not harsh, with a hint of malty sweetness. Medium bodied. Long finish, bitterness remains. Nice!

Overall a great beer! Sometimes not available because of popularity but I always order it when in stock. Great head and very hoppy taste. Easy to taste the spices.

This has a dark orange color with slight amber hues. It has a bright white head that looks soapy. It has a nice, sweet, and sticky hop aroma with caramel malts that are really impressive for BJ’s. The mouth feel is thin and.. well, too thin for my palate. it almost tastes like a double IPA, but malty and it has a nice bod, with an English-style breadiness to it. It also has a beefy, but modest, hop presence. Not bad, and not offensive.

Draft @ The Falls location that recently opened. Pours slightly hazy orangish golden color with white head. Aromas of grapefruit rind and some lemon. Citrus flavor with some sweetness. Medium body with average carbonation. Better than I was expecting.

Clear orangish yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is floral and citrus. Taste is bitter with some sweetness and quite a bit of grapefruit.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Tap at BJs in Pinellas Park. Clear orange pour with a spotty white head. Faint grapefruit hops, plus a little cardboard. Just okay.

bytemesis (8970) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - NOV 18, 2012
Tap. Pours clear deep amber with a small off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is so faint as to be almost undetectable. Flavor brings out some pine and caramel notes, along with light sweetness. Quite bitter from start to finish, leading me to think it was an old pour; no aroma to go with the bitterness. Again, a lightly metallic aftertaste.

Jethro6191 (508) - Indiana, USA - NOV 17, 2012
On tap at the pub. Pours gold with a wispy thin head. Mild citrus aroma. Malt, citrus, and grapefruit flavors. Not real hoppy for an IPA. Tastes more like an American pale ale. Medium body with medium carbonation. Somewhat thin mouthfeel with a dry finish.

bleeng (1682) - Seattle still not near Beersel., Washington, USA - NOV 9, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2012 Draft at BJ’s Willowbrook Houston. Pours slightly hazy and light gold. Light nose of citrus hops and a bit soapy. Taste is slightly sweet with a nice hop bite. Bitter and dry end. Decent sessionable Ipa.
