Wow, way to step it up bj’s. Nice amber pour with a cream head. Nose is big fresh grapefruit hops, sharp, faint bitterness, and citrus. Very nice on the palate, sharp bitter hops upfront, fresh grapefruit, and a smooth finish. mmmbeer (1429) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 31, 2012
Pilsner glass at the Arborwalk Austin location- served a transparent copper color, aroma of pine and citrus. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt and caramel sensations are nicely balanced in this IPA for a change, hearty hop crescent in the middle, finish is mildly acidic with just a faint note of sweetness. Hooray beer! jimmie65 (330) - Texas, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Very hoppy. The aroma is enjoyable. But so much hoppiness that it’s hard to taste anything else. Still the best beer brewed at BJs. barn0216 (551) - California, USA - MAY 26, 2012
This beer was abysmal. The intro appearance and aroma weren’t bad but the taste was awful. It reminded me of some early homebrew IPA attempts. A little too sweet along with the piney hops, with a slight off flavor. Not sure if it was the choice of hops or a bad batch. Would not buy again.

Tap at The Woodlands,Shenendoah location. Like a boss. Pours a weak tea amber with a nose of coppery hops and grapefruit. Flavor is an assertive blend of hops and grapefruit. Tingly mouthfeel. Tastes great but the other components are lacking. User134089 (1644) - - MAY 22, 2012
Poured from a draft into an imperial pint glass at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewery in Culver City, Calif. About a finger of head when I got it. Color was honey golden pale. Fluffy white lacing on the top. Really good looking film - white, soapy and foamy - that lasted throughout the pour.
Smelled citrus hops, a mixture of tangerine and lemon. Wet, caramel malts as well.
Initially the taste was worse than the smell. More grainy and rough. Caramel malts mixed with citrus hops. Bitter finish in the tongue after. Got used to it more later. A very poor man’s Double Jack.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish.
I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I would definitely try it again if it’s in the BJ’s near my place. Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Pours a light copper color. Aroma is slightly floral with a hoppy nose. Bitter taste, which dissipates as you drink it. This beer is clean, very light for an IPA, overall a tasty IPA. notalush (5922) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - MAY 12, 2012
Light copper pour - fairly sweet throughout, but at least it is a clean sweetness of lightly caramelized sugars that does not interfere with the hop character, which is the star of the show here - hops are lightly earthy, with fairly strong notes of pine and bright citric character that linger long into the finish - a bit sweet for me, but a solid IPA. blutt59 (6579) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 10, 2012
