I didn’t like this IPA as much as the pale ale. Reddish amber with a thin head. Hops were fruity, a bit tropical. Fairly sweeter caramel and fruit flavors with understated hops. Peppery persimmon is the most I got out of it.

Draft at BJs Summerlin. Pours Amber with a clingy beige head. Aroma of caramel, brown bread, pine. Flavor is caramel sweetness overrun by pine bitter.

On tap at the Aurora, CO BJ’s Aug 27th. Pours amber with head and lace. Aroma of rich malts & Straw hops. Flavors of righ malts, minerals, straw hops, citrus spritz, bitter roots. Overall rich, flavorful, full bodied, tasty.

snoworsummer (5959) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 24, 2014
Draft at BJ’s Tysons Corner. Pours clear amber with a moderate, frothy off-white head. Smells like pine, grapefruit, and resin hops with biscuit, straw malt, and pear. Tastes like strong hop bitterness, sweet malt, and fruity. Dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 19, 2014
Clear copper body with a small fizzy off-white head that retained as a thin film. The nose is balanced evenly between the caramel malt and citrusy hops. The flavor is pretty well the same up front, but the sweet malt wins out towards the finish, and there’s that weird chemical flavor that comes on late in the finish again. This starts out ok, but the finish just ruins it. Medium bodied with a slight cling on the back end. Fizzy prickly carbonation. Pretty boring IPA.

BeerdedDave (1853) - Beckley, USA - SEP 4, 2014
on tap at the Albuquerque location; amber color; citrusy hop aroma; dry, citrusy hop flavor on a medium bodied, bready malt base

"Nice, balanced ipa. Not huge on the hops or bitterness, but the hop profile (while light) was quite complex. Fruity sweet grapefruit, tropical fruit, floral, and pine. Just mellower. Decent malty backbone as well. Not great, but I’d get again."

This beer pours golden brown with minimal head. Right off the bat you can smell the hops. This is one of my favorite IPAs to drink, it is crisp and refreshing, without any bitter after taste.
