Tap. Clear yellow orange pour. Citrus, fruit and pine. Medium body. Well balanced. Citrus and slight bitter finish in a medium body. Nice

On tap - part of a flight and decent head even five minutes after the beers were delivered. Nice lacing with a grapefruit hoppy aroma. Resinous mouthfeel. Decent dry mouthfeel. Not bad at all.

BJ’s Hopstorm is a surprisingly good IPA from a long time brewhouse chain. Strong floral aroma coming from a bright yellow pour with a fluffy white head. Taste is well balanced with a solid malt backbone with an intoxicating mix of floral notes. BJ’s turns out a top notch IPA that competes with the best.

kathouse (1925) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - JUL 3, 2014
Amber with a moderate foam. Citrus aroma, some hay. Body is lightly bitter without real depth. Light malts and average hop bitterness finishes.

A chain-restaurant IPA. I like BJs (pun semi-intended) and want it to be good but their beer seems to aim for the path of least resistance despite a corporate culture (I have a close relative who is high up there) that I actually think would welcome more innovation than their brutally bland safe beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

JaBier (8112) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUL 1, 2014
Sample at BJ’s Polaris on 6/27/14. Clear gold to amber in color with a thick white head. Aroma of malt with grassy and citrusy hops. Malty and piney flavor with grapefruit bitterness and a slight astrigency in the finish.

Nothing to write home about. Not overly hoppy. Should be a pale ale. Nice head n color.

CpyNPrnT (620) - Indiana, USA - JUN 16, 2014
Tastes like an IPA, not as much bitterness as I was expecting. Decent beer.

Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 16, 2014
Pored light orange with a white head. Aroma of citrus and earth hops. Flavor was bitter, oranges and caramel.

3.4
Cavie (4760) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAY 29, 2014
Tap at Arlington. Pours a clear Light orange color. Tall foamy head. Aroma is citrus hops, big hoppy notes. Slight sweet notes. Flavor is sharp hops upfront that last through the finish. Good flavor, American hop intensity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
