kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - MAY 18, 2014
(tap San Mateo) slightly hazy light copper. Modest pine hops aroma. Flavor is a little pine hops with a decent malt backbone. Not as hoppy as the description - would be a good "gateway" IPA.

On tap. Pours a clear gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a nice pine hoppiness with hints of grapefruit and resin. Flavor is similar with pine and more resin coming through as well as a strong sweet grain backbone.

Decent beer but not overly hoppy as one would expect. It had aromas of floral and piney hops but not too strong. Copper coloring with a thin head. Average palate with a smoothness and decent carbonation. Good blend of flavors with mild bitterness, nothing to harsh. Mild malty after-flavors that complimented. A good but safe IPA.
