3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at restaurant in Frederick, MD. Served in a footed pilsner glass, clear ambery-golden color with white head. Aroma of citrus/pine/slight fruity hops with malt backing. Taste seems to lean more pine/earth bitterness and caramel malt sweetness. Light body, moderate carbonation, bitter, sweet with equal finish. Strange enough not a huge hop step up from their pale ale, just an okay IPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap from the Tallahassee restaurant. This was my favorite of all of the BJs sampled: floral, caramel, crisp, resin, pine. Good balance, easy drinking. 7.4

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Clearer amber orange. Citrusy, piney, slight vanilla in the aroma. Pine, but more grapefruit in the flavor. Straightforward, hoppy and fairly clean. Medium to lighter body.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
At BJs brew house. Pours golden amber with a thin head that sticks to the glass. Very little immediate hoppy flavor with a slight slight malt. Then the pine hoppy flavor builds and finishes with a smooth citrus hoppy. And the next sip is the same- very little hops then a build after air hits the mouth after swallowing.

Mineral taste and nose. Smells like a rusty nail or copper penny. Taste is bitter. Slight juiciness. But terrible finish

Meh. Incredibly bitter, not balanced well at all. Love IPAs, didn't finish the 5 ounce taster of this one. Get the brewmaster's reserve double IPA when you're at BJ's if it's available.

Pour on tap at the brewpub, clear orange pour with thin white head, aroma brought slight grass, pine, hints of orange, touch of caramel and toffee as well. Taste is a mix of caramel, toffee, slight grass, pine, hints of grain, finishing fairly bitter, slightly sweet.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear golden yellow with dissipating white head and light lace. Aroma is slight hop and bready grain. Taste follows, slightly hoppier than the nose, but still not that great. Unimpressed, Meh.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
5-6 oz mini pils flute draft at the BJs Brewhouse in Coral Springs, Florida. The pour is clear golden copper with not much of an off white head. The aroma almost nothing, just incredibly faint earthiness. The taste is a strange blend of herbal earthy bitter and a sort of a pungent vegetal. Some dank weed in the finish, though not really in the normal pleasant way. The palate is medium bodied with soft to no carbonation and the weird aftertaste. Flawed, canít imagine the perception of ďIPAĒ a newbie would get from this beer.
