Meh. Incredibly bitter, not balanced well at all. Love IPAs, didn't finish the 5 ounce taster of this one. Get the brewmaster's reserve double IPA when you're at BJ's if it's available.

Pour on tap at the brewpub, clear orange pour with thin white head, aroma brought slight grass, pine, hints of orange, touch of caramel and toffee as well. Taste is a mix of caramel, toffee, slight grass, pine, hints of grain, finishing fairly bitter, slightly sweet.

Pours a clear golden yellow with dissipating white head and light lace. Aroma is slight hop and bready grain. Taste follows, slightly hoppier than the nose, but still not that great. Unimpressed, Meh.

5-6 oz mini pils flute draft at the BJs Brewhouse in Coral Springs, Florida. The pour is clear golden copper with not much of an off white head. The aroma almost nothing, just incredibly faint earthiness. The taste is a strange blend of herbal earthy bitter and a sort of a pungent vegetal. Some dank weed in the finish, though not really in the normal pleasant way. The palate is medium bodied with soft to no carbonation and the weird aftertaste. Flawed, can’t imagine the perception of “IPA” a newbie would get from this beer.

On tap at the Hillsboro location. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. The aroma is fruit and resinous hops. The flavor is also quite full of sweet resin hops, caramel, a good bit of bitterness. Fits oddly, rough and not well put together, but altogether decent.

Clear medium amber with a solid 2-finger head and thick streaks of lace. Clean sweet caramel malt moves smartly through the palate. Hops show very late, lasting deep into a lingering finish. A solid mid-range IPA. Highly recommended.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2016 Tap at BJ’s Sugar Land. Clear amber with a sudsy off white head. Lacing is pretty heavy. Aroma of citrus candy and caramel and bready malt. Taste is sweet in the fruity pebbles sense and nicely bitter. Medium bodied and smooth.

Clear orange color. Fluffy white head that stuck around for awhile. Citrus and grass hops. I wish the hops were a bit more vibrant, but its drinkable and nothing offensive to note.

Near clear pour with medium white head. Aroma is very hoppy citrus. Taste is citrus rind. Medium carbonation.

I have to go against the grain on this beer. It is poorly mqde and not good. It does look nice with a a hazy amber color and thick lacing head. But a minimum of hop aroma or flavor combined with a light grain flavor and little else here.
