This is easily, by far my favorite of the BJ beers. Pours a hazy gold in color with a nice half inch head. Nice fruity, hop smell. Taste is much the same with a good amount of bitterness. This I could drink all the time. It’s a shame the rest of their beers don’t come close to this. This should be a regular offering, once this goes I’m not sure there’ll be anything there to drink. Draft at Cincy location. Poured a hazy copper color with a moderate fizzy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Medium sour citrus hop aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration duration. Good drinkable brew. beerbrat99 (132) - Shanghai, CHINA - JAN 10, 2008
Draft. Poured a peachy amber color with tan head. Some head retention with some lacing. Aroma of pine, citrus and caramel. The taste is very similar with the piney character really coming through in the middle. The malt backbone balances the finish out and makes it surprisingly balanced. Not sure if the alcohol is as high as listed, seemed a bit weak for an IPA. Silphium (3198) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - AUG 9, 2004
On tap at B.J.’s Portland, sampled 6 August 2004. Standard fare across the board- clear copper red body, thin creamy off-white head, grapefruity, bitter, piney aroma, and the subsequent intense grapefruit citrus flavor enhanced by pine and a touch of sweet malt. Not much balance, so this beer tastes like any other beer that uses the same quantity and variety of hops. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JUL 20, 2004
Red color with a whie head that leaves minor lacing. Good ipa aroma with a good dose of hops. Taste was very bitter and had a bunch of grapefruit taste that was unappealing. Very dry finish on this ipa.

Shimmering copper color with a light head, lacing. The aroma is very fresh with columbus, very earthy & floral with a citrus tail. The flavor is fairly dry & unbalance but still holds the hops gods with high respect. Finishes with a dusty bone dry mouthfeel. Makes you want to drink more to quench. It’s an endless loop that leads to drunk! *bonus points.
