I liked what the juniper addition did for this Pale. It seemed to charge up the hops and make the aroma quite a bit more interesting. Alas, it still wasnít great. Cask. Beer pours a clear, medium, orange-gold color with a large creamy, tan, mostly lasting, quickly diminishing head. The aroma is lightly malty with a notes of toasted grain and caramel; Moderately hoppy with notes of pine/resin, apricot; Miscellaneous aromas include heavy notes of gin-like juniper, light evergreen notes, heavy notes of orange zest and light notes of pineapple. The flavor is moderately bitter, moderately-to-heavily acidic with a lightly acidic, lightly bitter, short finish. The body is medium, the texture is watery and the carbonation is soft. Head is fully lasting.
Body is light amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough), with a hint of pine/spruce.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation.
Not much of interest in the aroma for me, very light and watery in the mouth, with lots of citric acidity. Not much fun.
