On tap at their Orlando, Fl. location. Dark black pour, nice lacing mocha colored head. Pick up a bit of a nitrogen induced aroma of fresh lake water. Flavor has some solid roasted dry notes with some smokiness and bitter coffee to round it out. Thickish mouthfeel. All around a pretty solid stout. On tap at Westwood, CA location. Pours with a light brown, cream head with good lacing. Pitch black body. Grainy, chocolate taste with an aroma that is nearly identical to the Tatonka stouit. Waterymouthfeel with fizzy carbonation. Ernest (7713) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 23, 2008
Draught, BJs Boulder.
Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark brown to black.
Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, chocolate, husks), lightly to moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation.
Nice mouthfeel and good balance. Didn’t rock me, but it’s pretty solid. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUN 24, 2007

Dark brown, not quite black with tan head & some lacing. Very similar to the organic porter. The nose is more creamy leaning towards milk chocolate than raw cocoa. Flavor is about the same. Finishes more sweet & balanced but still too dry.
black pour with a creamy tan head. sweet malts on the nose with a tiny bit of coffee. not a bad mouthfeel actually. quite creamy and sweet. not a bad brew from these guys. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - JUL 22, 2003
Tasted at the Eugene Oregon resteraunt. This chain's beer quality tends to very from facility to facility so..
Dark Black color. Medium creamy head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee and CHOCOLATE. The chocolate in the aroma is really outstanding. A medium bodied stout. Malts are roasted, coffee and chocolate, slightly sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. Nicely balanced, lighter bodied Oatmeal Stout. Not as much chocolate taste in the flavor as I would expect from the aroma, yet more of the oatmeal flavor is noticeable in the taste than the aroma. Very smooth and a touch sweet, as expected. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. It’s a little weird that the special brew of the month of July is an Oatmeal Stout! travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 20, 2008
On tap at BJs in Lewisville. Replaced the Grand Cru which was a little better. Black in color with a decent head. Light coffee and oats in the aroma, could use some more. Taste again shows potential but comes but a little short
