Our flavorful alternative with even fewer calories than many popular domestic light beers. BJ’s LightSwitch Lager has a pleasant malt flavor balanced by a clean, dry finish with the handcrafted quality you have come to expect from BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse.

PlainsDrifter (96) - Adelphi, Maryland, USA - JUN 29, 2011
On tap at BJs restaurant Kissimee, FL. Pours pale golden brown, medium white head, medium carbonation. Aroma of hay, citrus. This is a flavorful light beer, one of the best light beers that I have had.

Aggiebob (1178) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - APR 7, 2017
Draft. Pale gold poured with a thin white head. Light bready malt aroma. Watery taste. Not the best light beer.

hershiser2 (3476) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - NOV 12, 2016
Tap at Charlottesville location. Pours light golden. Taste is wet cardboard, bread, and grass. Bland but inoffensive.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7879) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 8, 2016
Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark golden color with a medium sized creamy white head that faded quickly and left good lacing. The aroma was faintly tangy and sweet with a touch of sour mash. The flavor was tangy and sweet with hints of fruit and hot pepper. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh

GenDV138 (7285) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - APR 26, 2016
4-5 oz pour on draft at BJ’s (Gainesville, VA location) with a Mustang Sally yelling DCLawyer. Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, floral notes, hay. Tastes of wheat, citrus, floral notes. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 18, 2016
Pale straw body, minimal fizzy head that vanished completely. Minimal nose, grainy and corn-laced. Flavor isn’t much better, minimal malt, no hops, bud light clone. Light bodied and watery with fizzy carbonation. Meh, ok I guess, but not a beer geek’s dream.

rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 31, 2015
Draught at BJ:s Restaurant and Brewhouse, Brea. Clear pale golden beer with a decent offwhite head. Thin bready hop aroma, grassy, hay, spicy notes. Hoppy spicy flavor, grassy, bread, herbal, some citrus. Peppery finish with hay and bread. Thin but ok.

phaleslu (10333) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 31, 2015
Draft served in a flight at the local brewpub. Pours a barely cloudy yellow gold - just slightly fainter than the Blonde and Hefeweizen - with a small white head that settles into a ring while leaving ropes of lace. Notes of bready and pale malts, banana chips, fruity esters, minerals, and saltines. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Not bad, actually. Better than the Blonde and Hefe.

GreatDane1632 (1169) - North Dakota, USA - APR 30, 2015
Had at their brewpub in San Antonio. This may have been my favorite of all of their beers, which makes sense because I thought they were all thin and watery, which fits this style.

thorongil2 (3168) - , Ontario, CANADA - FEB 15, 2015
(tap at Florence, KY) clear pale yellow colour with a small white head; aroma od sweet fruit; clean, refreshing, bit wheaty , balanced flavour; very nice light beer

Drake (13954) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 30, 2014
Keg at BJs, Gainesville, VA. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a thin creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of grassy hops and pale malt. The taste is doughy malt with a grassy hop finish. Thin bodied, mild lingering bitterness.
