Had on tap at the Greenwood, IN location, but I was with a lot of family for a wedding so I didn’t take good notes. jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - FEB 25, 2009
On tap at BJs Lewisville. Amber in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is of caramel, malt and toast. Taste is the same. johntreeter (126) - Greenwood, Indiana, USA - MAY 24, 2008
Greenwood, IN draft sampler. Pours a clear copper color with a thin head and left very little lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, grapefruit, and raisin. Taste is similar, sweet with a note of alcohol. Has a nice medium body and good texture with a really good balancing bitter finish. Worth a try. golubj (1377) - San Mateo, California, USA - MAY 18, 2008
Draft at Brea location. Dark amber pour with some off-white head. Aroma is some sweet caramel malt, german bready malt, sweet overall. Flavor is the same, sweet toasted malt. Decent mouthfeel, although I did get tired of drinking it after about half the glass. pintsize (1041) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 13, 2008

Medium orange pour with a nice thick white frothy head and sticky lacing. Smell is sweet dough with lemon undertones. Flavor is interesting - it has a clean, crisp bite to it with a lemon dishwater effect. Palate is high carbonation but fitting here. Overall, drinkable just a bit like lemon Dawn dishwater.
Draft @ BJs: Pours orange/golden with very little head. Noticeable caramel malt. Highly carbonated, tastes of toffee and fresh apple undertones with a mild bitterness. Pretty drinkable. BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 11, 2008
Pours with a small, white head covering a clearish amber/orange body aroma is lightly spicey hops with light malts. taste is pretty hoppy, I had to double check with the waitress to make sure I was not getting the APA by mistake, WAY too hoppy for the style. Nice tasting, but very off for the style. lb4lb (2628) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 10, 2008
Pours bright orange with an offwhite head. Smell is some sweet, tangy malt with hints of apricot and sourdough bread. Taste is similar with a tart, sweet malt flavor and balancing bitterness. Nice body and carbonation. Has that somewhat tart, biscuity, tangy malt that isn’t my favorite, but seems like a good example of the style. Nicely made. On tap at the Citrus Park, FL location. Pours gold with an orange hue and off white head. The aroma is sweet citrus, apricot, raisin, black pepper, malt sweetness and some assorted spices. The taste is sweet with a pulse of sweet malts with bold fruity esters of apricots, plum, raisins, cantaloupe and pepper popping up here and there. There’s also an earthy sense to go along with some vague spice and herb notes. SudsMcDuff (8552) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAY 7, 2008
Thanks John K ... pours with very little foam ... no real smell, some light caramel ... taste seems to hit right in the middle, but seems to be lacking any assertiveness or true flavour ... also needs more aesthetic qualities ..
