On tap at BJs in Vacaville, CA. This brew tasted of a full-flavored pale lager. Had a sweet taste to it, despite being a bitter. SphinxTX (2878) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - APR 28, 2008
On tap at BJ’s location in Plano, TX.
Poured a hazy gold with medium white head. Has a fruity/yeasty aroma wich is pleasant. Flavor is definately that of a bock. Has a sweet toasted malt flavor with fruit notes. Has medium mouth feel with medium carbonation....I enjoyed this beer.... changeup45 (1731) - Lake Mary, Florida, USA - APR 25, 2008
Copper colored with a decent head and some lacing. Slightly sweet, some malts and a bit grainy and grassy. Sort of tasted more like a lager than a bock but it wasn’t bad. DYCSoccer17 (3719) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 23, 2008
16 ounce sample tasted at the Vacaville, CA location. Floral, metallic, grainy, vegetal maibock-like aroma. Transparent dark golden body with a medium off-white head that dissipates a little faster than average. Leaves average lacing. Fruity and vegetal start with an abundance of malts. A little citrus and juicy mouthfeel follow. Pretty estery in the middle. Finishes sweet and cloying. This is underattenuated and overly sweet. Lacks the dry, peppery, metallic qualities that are usual for the style. kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - APR 16, 2008
Pours medim coper, no head really and no lacing. Smells like high quality, medium-sweet barley malt. Taste is heavily malty with the kiss of hops. Mouthfeel is light-syrupy, and full. Overall the beer feels a little heavy and finishes the same. You might could drink this one for dinner if you weren’t that hungry. I’m just not a big fan of the really malty beers.

On tap at brewery. Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Fruit and bread aroma and taste with some sweet caramel notes. GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - APR 10, 2008
On tap at Stockton, CA location - Pretty standard offering here. Nothing really to hang your tastebuds on, it went fairly well with the pizza I had so that was a plus. The beer was a clear, light amber in color with just a twinge of orange. Very small head with no lacing. Flavors was some malt, with a touch of citrus and herbs. Easy to drink, refreshing and clean. mjg74 (3230) - La Mesa, California, USA - APR 7, 2008
Bj’s La Mesa. Pours a medium golden color. Somewhat sweet and malty. Fairly smooth with a moderate amount of graininess. Enjoyable. UselessGdTaste (365) - Long Beach, California, USA - APR 4, 2008
Very sweet. The flavour danced on being too sweet for most of the second half of my pint. But with this style, it is what they were going for. Not bad by any stretch, just not a personal preference. travita (5008) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 2, 2008
Draft at BJs in Lewisville. Copper in color with a thin head. Smell is sweet with carmel, malts, and some bread like notes. Taste is sweet and caramel like. Goes down easy.
