I couldn’t help but keep smelling this beer...the aroma really surprised my girlfriend (see below) and me. Very fruity and quite enticing. Nicely balanced. Wish it was on all the time. luckygirl (1223) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 11, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2005 Special Cask offering from BJ’s in Boulder Colorado. Poured a mediun rusty-brown color with a medium, off-white lasting head that left behind nice lacing. The aromas included heavy notes of strawberries, peaches, flowers and tart rosehips; light malty notes of cookie and caramel and a light hoppy note of apricot. The flavor started moderately sweet and faded into a longer-than-average, lightly bitter slightly metallic finish. The body was medium-to-full, the texture was velvety and the carbonation was soft. This was one of the prettiest beers I’ve enjoyed yet—floral and fruity and oh so pleasing.
