It’s a damn good beer that I purchased before the Ohio9 River Way Paddle.... it was great boat fuel as I paddled my way down the Ohio River/ Outside of that, it poured a dark mahogeny brown, with a spicey aroma and a blessed, full taste... I recommend this one! Crosling (1864) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - NOV 9, 2004
Brown. Moderately aromatic, fruity, caramel like malt, cardboard, fruits, mainly cherry in the nose. Medicinal, sweet, candy-like taste. Malt notes of caramel, toffee and chocolate. Hops are fairly subtle. Cherries continue on in the flavor. Tasty. Gusler (2652) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 1, 2004
Draught @ Papago
The beer pours a limpid deep burnished copper color with a Brontosauric sized head that is light tan in color and creamy in it’s texture which upon depletion leaves a thick blanket of lace upon the glass. Nose is sweet malt, hints of caramel, fresh and crisp with an underlying aroma I cannot place, start is sweet, the malt presence perfect and the top moderate in its feel to the palate. Finish is pleasantly acidic and the hops delectable in their spicy bite with the aftertaste dry and lingering, a good beer that is definitely worth a sample.
