Had on tap at the Greenwood, IN version. Good aroma, but weak flavor. Could have been better. KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - OCT 29, 2005
Tap in Boulder. Cask conditioned version. Pours pure black with a great head. Aroma is vanilla with a slight Irish cream smell. Flavor is vanilla, liquor, and brandy. Velvety palate. Awesome beer. Ernest (7695) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 30, 2004
Draught. Body is reddish-brown. Aroma is lightly malty (chocolate, caramel), with a very strong note of vanilla. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Woof, another overly-spiced cask creation...this one’s almost decent, but just toooooo much vanilla (an aroma I love, don’t get me wrong). Seems like the porter is struggling underneath it all. Quite tart. MrRomero (1976) - Nolanville, USA - MAY 30, 2004
Served on cask at BJ’s, Boulder. Pours black with no head. Light vanilla aroma. Thin watery flavor with nothing but vanilla. Not much else.
