NachlamSie (3572) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 8, 2017
Pint at Barley’s Maryville. This was served too cold for the style, but it shone after warming up. The beer is red with no head. Rich notes of cherry candies, caramel and acidity are in the aroma. It might be a little one-dimensional as far as the yeast character is concerned, but it is pleasantly fruity and tart. The malt profile is really nice with suggestions of pie crust, burnt toast, and almonds.

Light florals and some caramel. Easy drinking. A touch too sugary on finish like mother in laws. Amber pour with good head and lacing. Tap at brewery.

Draft. Amber body with short, white head. Aroma of toasted grain, bread, spice, floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Sweet with taste of cherry, fig, light mustiness. Some raw, dusty grain, too.

3.3
Suttree (6505) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 5, 2016
On tap at Scruffy City Hall. Reddish tan, thin beige head. Smells like rich bread, some citrus, and then balsamic vinegar. Tastes lightly funky, some vanilla and banana, cherry and more balsamic vinegar. Not bad.
