COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional monastic style, brewed by the brothers to be shared at the table. Garnet hues of evening skies darkening to night. The smell of baking bread and evening flowers. The Special harkens to times of peace, quiet conversation and friendly fellowship. This beer pairs well with flavorful cheese and meat. {Belgian-style mild}

The wife ordered this and was kind enough to share. She really liked it which surprised me for a dark beer.

Tap at the Brewery. The smell is dried fruit, raisans, fruit roll ups, fruit cake. The look is mostly clear, brownish red in color, ok beige head. The taste is milder, sweet but not too bad, fruit, slightly muted. Ok.

Nashville, Tn - on tap at the Dark Abbey Tap Room., Amber colored pour, nice khaki colored head, decent lace. Brown sugar accented sweet aroma. Flavor has some brown sugar notes, a touch of spiced apples, a hint of coriander. Mouthfeel has a decent thickness, to it.

Solid Belgian ale. Dark brown pour. Caramel sweetness, some dark fruits, some ash. Slightly too fizzy for this style for me. Still pretty good.

Suttree (6520) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 21, 2015
Bronze-ish brown, with a ring of foam. Smell is lightly toasty and lightly fruity. Taste is caramel, burnt toast, and some raisin flavors in the finish. Maybe some hints of wine, as well. This was actually pretty tasty.

Pint on tap. Brown and unclouded with a lasting ring of cream. Aromas of sourish plums, clove and cocoa. Tastes of the same with some caramel apple and dark bread. Light-medium body has medium carbonation.
