Draft to taster at Black Acre. Pours a dark cola brown color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma and flavor have light roasted malts, chocolate, some earthy notes, soft finish, decent. Patrickctenchi (6587) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JAN 18, 2014
Pours black with a small tan head.
Lightly smoky coffee aroma.
Cream, coffee, roast flavor.
Comes across a little thin, but a good taste.
Decent. b3shine (8872) - Indiana, USA - DEC 28, 2013
Draft to taster at Black Acre. Not sure why this is retired, as it was on draft when I stopped by Black Acre today. Looks good for the style; a semi-opaque dark brownish black with thin light beige lacing and a bit of reddish brown where light comes through the beer. Smells of dark malt, coffee, and roast. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A solid example of the style. Block (2727) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - SEP 27, 2012
Black pour with a tan head. Aroma is just slightly roasted. Body is light with the flavor very mild. Sweet hops with just a touch of roastedness. A good balance without making this beer too heavy on the dark malts. Tmoney99 (14479) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 17, 2012
Draft. Poured clear black color with medium brown creamy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium roasted coffee and sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium flavor of toasted sweet malt with a medium roasted sweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting solid brew.
