Barwa ciemnobrunatna, klarowne, piana jasnobeżowa, dość obfita, ale niezbyt trwała. W aromacie ciemne słody, spalony tost, ciemne owoce, ciemne pieczywo. W smaku półsłodkie, wyraźne nuty ciemnego, przypalonego pieczywa z dodatkiem owoców - wiśni, czereśni, śliwek. Niezbyt wiele czekolady, trochę karmelu. Alkohol średnio ukryty, nieco drażni, goryczka niska do średniej, nieco brakuje, wysycenie nieco za wysokie. Nie jest to zły porter, ale ma pewne wady, przez co jest typowym przeciętniakiem. looks more like a brown than Baltic porter. Light with generic sweet malt notes. Nothing noteworthy. Disappointed in the first of 3. AndreasJaeger (505) - Malmö, SWEDEN - FEB 22, 2013
Svart i färgen, beige skum. Smakar och doftar mörk malt söt choklad, praliner, lakrits och lite kaffe. Lite för tunn i kroppen. Imaena (2327) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - JAN 15, 2013
Bomber @ Savoy bistro Portland OR. Overly sweet and clearly laced with additives.

(bottle, 4/30/10). Dark brown color, with ruby hue. Medium tan head, which is mostly diminishing. Sweet malt and chocolate aroma. Sweet chocolate flavor with light coffee. Avg duration. Very light bitter finish with lasting sweetness. Thin/slick texture. Soft carbonation. Fair lacing. ricke (476) - Malme, SWEDEN - NOV 17, 2009
Serving date: 2009-01-28. Served in snifter.
500 ml bottle with freshness date on label (Best before 2009-09-26). Recommended cellaring temperature on label.
The pour seems black at first, but soon reveals a very dark-brown color with deep ruby hues. The liquid is very clear. 1 cm cappuccino colored head that dissipates rather quickly. Very very small lacings are left behind.
In the nose, there’s cream and coffee with a slightly burnt character. However, most noticeable - and a bit surprising - is a prominent smell of toffee.
The taste is also of coffee and a general roasted flavor, burnt caramel, and notes of bitter chocolate in the middle. In the slightly bitter finish there are more coffee flavors and nuances of toast. The hop character is minimal, and I think I would have liked it to be a bit bigger. The mouthfeel is rather smooth and "calm", with a medium body and mild carbonation. Basically no taste of alcohol.
This is a very good porter, but I must say that I was expecting a little more from it. It could have been a little bolder and have slightly richer flavors. With the well hidden alcohol it almost appears as a very good session porter. But the high ABV would make such a session rather short. Recommended for porter enthusiasts, and I must say that I could definitely see myself buy this one again.
I would really have liked to try it at 9,4%, since I think higher ABV would have served it well.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma with some hints of coffee. Sweetish roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a sweetish roasted malty chocolate finish.
