UPDATED: OCT 17, 2007 Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget, says 7.0 % abv on the label. Deep clear reddish brown with a rich fluffy beige head. Very intriguing roasted aroma with notes of liquorice, gunpowder, dried fruits, and coffee. Medium bodied and smooth, perfectly balanced with a light initial sweetness followed by a firm roasted bitterness. Infinitely better than the 9.4 % abv version. A fine Poland Porter, a Distinct coffee aroma was the first sense I noticed with a slight licorice flavor. Not one of my favorite Porters but I would definately buy again. Priced right for Domestic (U.S.) Porter lovers. aliendan (25) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 19, 2008
Head is creamy tan that quickly disappears, and the beer is dark reddish black. Burnt aroma with corky red wine caskiness. It has a crisp brown sugar sweetness with a bitter aftertaste that’s a lot milder than the aroma suggests. Buttery flavor and texture. gnoff (10711) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - DEC 18, 2007

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Clear, dark brown with a tint of red and a creamy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and a touch of alcohol - and butter. Quite full-bodied with lightly burned malt accents, some sweet licorice and a whiff of smoke. Subdued bitterness. 191207 omhper (25262) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 2, 2008
Bottled. Near black, dense creamy head. Cocoa aroma. Medium sweet and medium bodied, rounded mouthfeel. Dominated by a variety of malt flavours - caramel, butter and cocoa. Low bitterness. Less powerful and warming than ithe full strength version, but also more drinkable and less sweet. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 22, 2007
Black colour with pale brown head. Aroma from sugar and coffe. Soft, oily body with slight toast, and alcohol slightly present. Dominant features would be watery coffee, caramel and sugar. This diluted(?) version lacks the bold, somewhat complex characteristics of that of 9,4. It feels thin. Still, pretty good beer, but somewhat one-dimensional. Deep brown, reddish colour with a light brown head. Roasted malty, light coffee bitter aroma with notes of bread. Malty, light fruity and chocolate sweet flavor. Vague roasted finish with coffee notes. Jonte (1413) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - SEP 27, 2008
Bottle. Reddish brown color with a creamy fast shrinking head. Aroma: Roasted and sweet with notes of chocolate, licorice and coffee. Flavor: Sweet and lightly roasted, not very bitter. Notes of caramel, chocolate, sugar, licorice, and sweet coffee. Medium bodied. Maybe a bit too much on the sweet side, but not bad.
