500ml. bottle, some roasted and chocolate malts but really just a porter like alcohol delivery vehicle. Gets the job done, but with a cool name and Americanized label I fear it is overpriced. Jrwhitney6 (490) - - DEC 15, 2013
Pours a cherry brown with thin head. Weak nose - picked up a pilsner-like malt, with only a hint of coffee/chocolate typical of porters. Taste of roasted malt, some coffee - but also some syrupy sweetness. I liked this more on the first drink, and less on subsequent sips.

Cocoa, malt. Beautiful fluffy, fairly retentive head. Dark amber/Brown in color. Raisin/fig, cocoa, sweet molasses, coffee. Very velvety on the palate without too much carbonation. There’s a nuance that I can’t place... plum? Great finish. Malty, toasty and lingering. Fantastic. robertjm (892) - Albany, California, USA - NOV 21, 2013
Pours a small tan head. Body is more brown than black and light does pass through it when held up to a light. Light grainy aroma. Somewhat sweet flavors of chocolate and black cherries. Nice mouth feel to it. Pretty good deal for $2.99/btl!! Will have to look around for it up in my neck of the woods, and make sure to take a cooler with me the next time I’m in San Jose! Bottle. Clear dark amber to brown with light reddish hues and a big bubbly beige head. Aroma of mild roastiness, coffee, licorice, dark bread, smoky hints and light fruity notes. Sweet flavor, malty, caramelly, mildly roasty, with dark bread, chocolate, coffee, licorice, light fruitiness and a slightly drier, more roasty, and slightly alcoholic finish with a light smoky hint. Medium to full-bodied, kinda syrupy and sticky. Not bad, but too sweet and sugary for my liking.

Bottle. Clear dark brown. Small head, a lot of lace. Coffee, chocolate aroma with hints of alcohol. Taste, great coffee taste. ThreeCats (891) - ISRAEL - OCT 28, 2013
Clear mahogany with a tiny head, looks more like a dark amber than a Porter. Aroma roasty with a strong rotten eggs note and some toast. Taste toasty and caramel, a little chocolate and Sherri. Not Porter-y either. Quite sweet. It’s possible that this bottle was just bad, but this was an altogether unpleasant beer. beerandbeyond (708) - ISRAEL - OCT 24, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a goblet.
Clear light brown with red hues and a minimal head.
Caramel nose, with brown sugar, earth, dark bread, some dark fruits, cherry stone and faint chocolate.
Kvass-like flavor, sweet caramel, some vanilla, lo bitterness and some prunes.
Med-full bod, alcohol well hidden, too sweet and not balanced. OK Cantabrian (1114) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 29, 2013
I must say that I was less than excited and much disappointed with this porter, not neqarly as good as some of the fabulous Polish Baltic Porters I have tried. Not much of an aroma, this felt malty, watery and charred on the tongue, like an ordinary Dunkel.
