3.1
DSG (15432) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - NOV 7, 2013
Bottle. Clear dark amber to brown with light reddish hues and a big bubbly beige head. Aroma of mild roastiness, coffee, licorice, dark bread, smoky hints and light fruity notes. Sweet flavor, malty, caramelly, mildly roasty, with dark bread, chocolate, coffee, licorice, light fruitiness and a slightly drier, more roasty, and slightly alcoholic finish with a light smoky hint. Medium to full-bodied, kinda syrupy and sticky. Not bad, but too sweet and sugary for my liking.

2.3
Theis (15150) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 16, 2007
Bottle (Lars). Dark brown (almost black) - offwhite head. Raisins, plums, coffee, licorice, brown sugar, butter. It could have been very good.

2.6
Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 18, 2011
500 mL bottle from Total Wine West Richmond, VA. Pours a near black color with a large fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Weird tinny hops in the aroma with nutty and chocolate notes. The taste is sweet malts, chocolate, nutty notes, caramel, coffee, anise and a very faint hop presence. Medium bodied, and a bit too sweet, but solid.

3.6
crossovert (14152) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 9, 2011
This is a super cheap Polish Baltic Porter, but it is actually pretty good. It is sweet with hints of cocoa and dark fruits.

3.4
argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 25, 2006
(50cl bottle) Healthy tan head atop clear red-black body. Aroma is medium sweet, cherry, raisin, coffee, caramel, light anise. Taste is moderately sweet, coffee, chocolate, raisin/plum, some caramel, almond, light anise. Alcohol warming. Creamy yet watery medium-full body, surprisingly drinkable.

3.3
BeerandBlues2 (14063) - Escondido, California, USA - MAY 4, 2006
500 mL bottle from jjpm74. Pours very near opaque with a patchy tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt (cookie, meal), milk chocolate and faint floral hops with a vinous nose. Medium sweet chocolate malt and caramel flavor, medium to low bitterness and acidity, smooth malt finish. Dark bodied and smooth palate.

3.3
bierkoning (13821) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - AUG 25, 2006
Sold as Czarny Boss Porter in Ermelo. Deep dark brown color, almost opague. Coffee aroma with a touch of caramel. Just below medium bodied. Roasted malt, coffee, molasses, hints of apple. Likeable but somewhat grainy and sweet. No first class quality.

2.5
Rune (13781) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 24, 2007
500ml bottle sampled at a drinking session in Tromsø. Opaque dark brown body colour. Off-white head containing lots of bubbles. Aroma has got a dark malty profile. Taste like a kind of mouth-filling chocolate milk shake developing into flavour accents of sweet dark malts. Much too sweet and rather one dimensional for a porter (18.04.2007).

2.4
Bov (13354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JAN 12, 2004
very dark brown colour, chaotic foam with big bubbles, aroma of dark chocolate and candy sugar, very sweet, robust maltiness and a sugary finish

3.3
hopdog (13267) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 7, 2006
Bottle. Poured a dark brown with a red tint to it and a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, lactose and a strong nuttiness to it. I’ll have to take Eric’s word for it about his Grandmother’s Nuts (maybe it was his Grandpa). Tastes of roast, light cocoa, and a lighter nuttiness to it. Thinner body.
