Flos Vinum is a little strange beer. It’s full of alcohol and … that’s it. The sourness and alcohol is not in balance. If your goal is to get drunk - go ahead, this beer will do the work.

Appearance: red, amber, hazy, minimal head, white foam. Aroma: fruity, hay, bread, alcohol, wild berries, rye. Taste: medium sourness, light sweetness, medium bitterness, salty. Palate: lively, creamy, light + body, sharp bitter, long aftertaste.

In my bottle is written 11% not 10%. Something from the edge of beer world but interesting experiment.

Old notes. Bottle; batch 261; BB 20.03.2042. Hoooooly crap, it's 11%. Should've checked that before opening! Pours acorn brownish orange with small light beige head. Aroma of wood, surprisingly light and delicate sweetness, some Hibiscus herbal notes and a bit of honey. Tastes more of everything, sweet and woody dry, herbal and sour. Luckily, more sherry chips and hibiscus than honey. A bit too light and prickly initially but flattens and softens as it warms. The alcohol stays pretty much hidden even after 2 hours! Nicely done!

ABV: 11%. Marjaselt hapukas, isegi pisut liiast. Väga pärmine. Mesine magusus jäi tuvastamata. Suveõhtul võiks siiski päris mõnus olla.

330ml bottle. Pours murky dark reddish-purple, small pinkish-white head stays as ring. Red tea, redcurrant, plums in aroma, soursweet. Taste is tart, woody, redcurrant, hibiscus. Honey sweetness in aftertaste, some alcohol. Quite dry. Medium + bodied, over average carbo. Rough, alcoholy brew, too strong flavoured for me. Still better than at TCBW.

Bottle. Dark red, hazy, medium head, nice lacing. Aroma: sour, berries, honey, red wine. Taste: sour, red berries, honey, sweet finish. Medium body. Medium plus carbo. Despite of high ABV dangerously easily drinkable.

Pours red/brown with light white head. Aroma is sourish, some fruits, rowan, berries, some sweeteness, light bitter. Taste is sour, honey, light bityerness, oily, some floral, acid, hibiscus. Very nice beer!

Tap at Koht. Pours light red, very little carbonation. Aroma is sweetish, some fruits and just a bit of astringency. Not really presenting itself as a saison but well, maybe some Belgian character there. Tastes mainly sweet with some tartness, lots of fruits, cherries, red currants, some berry pie. Drinks quite smooth and well, I did not realise it was 10%, too smooth for that. Somehow felt unbalanced, not really blended well and low carbonation also not helping. Still interesting one to try.
