Unfiltered, ruby tea water colour with almost no head. Lots of wet pumpkin aroma and some spice and bread notes. Sweet pumpkin and citrus orange flavours. Easy drinking refreshing ale. CRock (271) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 30, 2015
Dark amber in colour with little to no head. I could get the nutmeg and cinnamon aroma but found the taste to be a little bland. It almost tasted like someone just added a bunch of spices into water, let it sit for a day, and then gave it to me to drink. It’s not as bad as my review might suggest, but certainly isn’t worth running out to get. DougShoemaker (3146) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 1, 2010

Indistinguishable nose, some malt, pitfruit, hazy brown, small tan head. Taste has the pumpkin like notes, cloves, allspice. Light bodied, though quite a well made beer.Yaay for pumpkin! Really good offering.
VOLO CASK - nice solid sweetness, very hop-dry and pleasant. No trace of pumpkin taste. Aroma and taste a little squashy, no spices. blankboy (7808) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 21, 2009
Cask at ’Volo Cask Days 2009’. Pours a murky brown with a large long-lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin and spices along with caramel malt and fruit. Flavour’s quite bitter, there’s lots of hops in there -- surprising for a Pumpkin Ale -- along with pumpkin, spices and some wood in the finish. Average bodied. Pretty good.

Cask. At Volo Cask Days 2009. Murky deep orange with a huge fluffy/foamy yellowish head. Thick, pungently spicy aroma, redolent of oil-based paint, with thick vaguely vegetal ketone sharpness - interesting, not sure I loved it. The taste - ah, that’s better - huge dry allspice presence with some alcohol, and malt/pumpkin backing - nice. Thick, slightly boozy (yes) mouthfeel, with a long dry pungently spicy linger. Good, not something I would drink a lot of. mabel (9787) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 15, 2009
[2556-20091031] Cask. odd fruity rind and sweet candy aroma. Murky, dark brown body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Bitter fresh tree bark malt flavour has some generic gourd in a long bittersweet finish. Medium-full bitter body. Huge kick at first, really interesting to try.

Appearance: thick hazy look , mid top , light tanned top.
Nose: caramel front with hint of pumpkin spice , berry sweet fruity end.
Flavor/Palate : Mid light bodied, citric hop feel up front . Bitter fruitiness with hint of alcohol dryness. Not bad.
Volo Cask Days 2009. murky amber pour, small frothy head. Aroma of canned pumpkin pie filling, its as simple as that. Im thinking they made this beer with canned filling. Its a pumpkin ale lacking the big pungent spices you normally get in a pumpkin beer. There is a lack of cloves, and i would say cinnamon, but i really enjoy it. Its just a sweet pumpkin beer, not sharp spiciness, just low key, smooth, and enjoyable. garthicus (2945) - Dublin, IRELAND - NOV 2, 2009
On cask at Cask Days. Appearance: murky orange with a thick yellow/brown head. Aroma: bitter orange, ever so slight raw pumpkin, apple skins and yeast. Flavour: bitter, malt, nice amount of hops, bitter pumpkin, wood, lovely ’cask’ finish. Also had 4 days later. The flavor has taken a seriously tart & sour characteristic, lovely.
