Half pint @ Chuck’s. When I say I’m looking for something different, this is what I’m talking about. Bourbon, slight tang, gorgeous red, vanilla(?). Good god this is delicious. Who the fuck is Black Diamond? doublebock (558) - California, USA - MAY 2, 2013
Cloudy auburn brown color with white head.. Nutty caramel malty aroma with hints of bourbon. Complex palate. We’ve got a dark fruit presence along with a please sour note and a candy like maltiness. Smooth bourbon and vanilla finish. Cybercat (5834) - Georgia, USA - APR 16, 2015

22 oz bottle - Pours dark tawny with medium lasting tan head. Big notes of sweet malt, oaky vanilla and bourbon goodness. Medium bodied with a sparkle of hoppy notes. Deceptively smooth, long finish, with a warmth at the end. Reminds a bit of OD, lighter bodied. Really pretty good.

Draught, 8.0%. Very vinous aroma, sweet fruit, hint of spicy vanilla. Cloudy dark red amber colour. The flavour is sweet and spicy, probably from the fruit, figs, that is. Sweet, but balanaced by a good citric flavour that must come from the Bourbon barrel, even though I think it tastes like red wine barrel. Good citric finish. Bomber poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of bitter chocolate, burnt carmel, dark fruit, vanilla, light coconut, light oak and light bourbon. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark chocolate, carmel, dark fruit, light vanilla, light oak and light bourbon with a smooth lingering fruity finish. streve (105) - Maryland, USA - JUL 5, 2013
22oz bottle from 2011. Pour is a semi-clear, dark reddish brown color with minimal head. Aroma is delightful. Full of cherry, vanilla and caramel. Mouth is very smooth. Hints of caramel malt, vanilla, bourbon oak and cherry. The finish is a little dry like a mild wine. I like the complex blend of flavors and aging. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - NOV 11, 2013
(22oz bottle, 2011 vintage) Pours an amber-brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, raisins, vanilla, oak, and marshmallow. Flavor of bourbon, figs, raisins, vanilla, and caramel. beertholomeus (1813) - California, USA - FEB 26, 2014
Bottle from 2012. Pours a burnt reddish brown color with a thin khaki head. Malt, caramel, oak, dark fruit, brown sugar, tart and some alcohol aroma. Malt, caramel, chocolate, raspberry, plum, raisin, tart, oak, brown sugar, vanilla and slight alcohol flavors. Full body and average carbonation. Slightly sweet with a malt, dark fruit and vanilla finish. Wouldn’t mind a bit more barrel character.
