Our take on a "west coast style" IPA, Jagged Edge is big and hoppy, yet its also extremely well balanced, and surprisingly easy to reach for another. We "first wort hop" with Columbus, and use Simcoe for flavor additions. The finishing hop additions include Columbus, Centennial, and Simcoe. Columbus is pungent with sweet orange aromas and flavor. Centennial adds floral notes along with additional citrus. Simcoe add a nice pine like flavor and aroma. These hops were chosen for their flavors and their moderate cohumulone content, which means they are bitter but not overwhelmingly bitter in large quantities. Pale malts are complemented by caramalt and light munich malts, which both enhance the malty sweetness and color and work to balance the substantial hop bill.

plenty of floral and piney hops, but I also get a tiny roasted smoked chocolate scent. The body is in the medium range. Is not so clean, and I tasted some diacetyl, I think caused by a bad transport or a bad seller. The taste also has this chocolate/cocoa malt character followed by a big hoppy bitterness that lingers at the end. Unfortunately nothing special

Floral hops aroma over a citrus mandarin sweetness. A distinctly hoppy, malty body and a bitter finish. The malt adds a level of sweet to head of the bite and keeps it in check quite nicely

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, biscuit, fruity hops, some caramel, big pine resin, orange, tangerine, some floral notes. Flavour is light sweet and medium bitter. Almost has a slight tartness from the fruits. Body is medium, nicely rich. Rather malty caramel piny, not as crisp fruity as Id like, but a very enjoyable IPA anyway.

Bottle at home. Clear golden pour, thin white head. Aroma of spicy hops, some citrus, some rye, slightly chemical and a bit messy. Flavor is quite bitter, fruity, slightly sweet and a bit rough. Decent body.

12 fl.oz bottle. Pours almost clear orange golden colour with a mid-sized good lasting off-white head. Aroma of mild fruity fresh hops, grass. Taste of medium bitter hops, tropical fruits, leading to a bitter finish, alright!

355ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Close resemblance to the "White Witch" but with more pronounced citrusy fruitiness (grapefruit, lemon) in aroma and taste.

Aroma citrico, leggero pino, mandarino, molto caramello.

Lamaro carico. Lintensit gustativa elevata. La persistenza gustativa buona. Il gusto piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono di amaro. Il finale amarognolo, lungo e complesso. Laroma rimanda a percezioni di miele, frutta secca, resina e agrumi.
