Our take on a "west coast style" IPA, Jagged Edge is big and hoppy, yet it’s also extremely well balanced, and surprisingly easy to reach for another. We "first wort hop" with Columbus, and use Simcoe for flavor additions. The finishing hop additions include Columbus, Centennial, and Simcoe. Columbus is pungent with sweet orange aromas and flavor. Centennial adds floral notes along with additional citrus. Simcoe add a nice pine like flavor and aroma. These hops were chosen for their flavors and their moderate cohumulone content, which means they are bitter but not overwhelmingly bitter in large quantities. Pale malts are complemented by caramalt and light munich malts, which both enhance the malty sweetness and color and work to balance the substantial hop bill.

Floral hops aroma over a citrus mandarin sweetness. A distinctly hoppy, malty body and a bitter finish. The malt adds a level of sweet to head of the bite and keeps it in check quite nicely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Floral hops and orange juice aroma, cloudy amber color, taste is mostly just a light bitter, smooth cream feel across the palate with a very short watery finish. Pretty good IPA.

Orange pour, white head. Straigh forward IPA here. Some citrus and grassy hops with a hint more malt than most west coast examples. Standard stuff.

Pours light amber with fairly fluffy white head. No aroma to speak of especially for an ipa. Weak body not bitter and a thin finish. Bleh.

12oz bottle, from Jungle Jim’s in Eastgate. Best by notch is October 2012... Purchased this 5 days ago... Hazy darker orange color. Thin, kind of airy beige head. Decent retention. Leaves pretty decent, thicker lace. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter, kind of crisp carbonation. Lightly dry in the texture. Nose is not that of a fresh IPA, it definitely smells a little malt forward, but the hop is still there in the flavor, doing alright. Some citrusy hops, lemon zest, along with big cakey biscuity malt. Not too much caramel. Moderate sweet taste though, more than I want from an IPA, with light to moderate bitter. A lot better than I expected, over all. Probably pretty tasty fresh.

Nice, citrus-forward IPA. Citrus aroma and mid-taste flavor. Front end seems to be more malty; back end, bitter. Fairly well balanced. Solid, good! B ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draft at Noble Hops in Tucson. Pours a hazy dark copper with an off white head. Fruity aroma. Some grassy and pine notes with some citrus peel. Bitter finish.

Bottle. Amber in color with whit head. Floral scent but with as if the flowers are a little over ripe. Taste leaves a aspirin taste. Average for an IPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a translucent amber color with a medium sized fluffy white head that has good retention. The aroma is quite pungent with floral hops, a bit of soap and grapefruit. The taste is bitter hops forward with lots of grapefruit, some melon and a biscuit malt backside. The palate is full and satisfying with lively carbonation. Finishes very dry with a bit of astringency. Overall: Very nice IPA for a summers day.

On tap at the brewery. It pours gold with a thick off white head. Very effervescent. The aroma is potent with floral and citrus hops. Cascade anyone??? The flavor is a bit caramel malt heavy with some florals and pine. Sweet bitter finish.
