Our take on a "west coast style" IPA, Jagged Edge is big and hoppy, yet it’s also extremely well balanced, and surprisingly easy to reach for another. We "first wort hop" with Columbus, and use Simcoe for flavor additions. The finishing hop additions include Columbus, Centennial, and Simcoe. Columbus is pungent with sweet orange aromas and flavor. Centennial adds floral notes along with additional citrus. Simcoe add a nice pine like flavor and aroma. These hops were chosen for their flavors and their moderate cohumulone content, which means they are bitter but not overwhelmingly bitter in large quantities. Pale malts are complemented by caramalt and light munich malts, which both enhance the malty sweetness and color and work to balance the substantial hop bill.

A new arrival to NH, the notches on the side indicate July 2012, is that a bottled on or exp date? Pours a crystal clear deep golden color with a huge white head that shows great retention and moderate lacing. The aroma is mostly garlic and green onions. Maybe there’s a hint of bready malt, but its really hard to find. The flavor follows the aroma really well. I get lots of vegetative onion and garlic hop flavor with just a hint of sweet bready malt that is struggling to find a voice. The finish holds a bit of licorice and more of the garlic long after every sip. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a light syrup resinous mouthfeel. Intense vegetative hop aroma and flavor, but this seems to lack any complexity. I could drink this, but wouldn’t seek it out.

Bottle: Pours a hazy orange with a large white head, nose has citrus and pine, starts and ends bitter with a orange ending, sticky mouthfeel, ample carbonation

Pours a deep orange golden color with a two finger head that sticks to the sides as the beer swirls about.... Aromas are nice tangerine, citrus and touches of caramel and pine. On the palate the beer comes across pretty juicy and clean with nice fresh hop appeal. The midpalate and finish kind fo fall apart slightly and keep this beer in the decent realm where some nice malty flavors and a touch more bitterness from some late addition hops would really bring this beer up a notch. Good beer but there are just so many great IPA’s coming out these days for this one to be a standout.

Golden color out of the bottle with a large, sticky, frothy off white head. Light fruity nose of mostly orange. Lots of orange and tangerine flavors with some red grapefruit juice. Long sweet tart finish with a lot of candied grapefruit rind. Sweet, hoppy IPA that hides the claimed 7.3% abv very well. Very nice IPA.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy citrus & earthy hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and lively carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium duration. This is a good beer.

Nice gift from “Cheap”—nothing cheap about you! Ok maybe in your tastes of beers. However, this one was a good solid IPA. 120z bottle, amber pour, thick head, aroma of floral and citrus hops. Well balanced, medium body, earthy alky taste. At times, I thought maybe it bordered an imperial/double ipa. Bitter alcohol flavor. Enjoyable brew!

Bottle. Aroma is citrus and pine hops with a caramel malt backbone. Palate is crisp and slightly under carbonated. Nice lacing when i put it down. Flavor is bitter finishing a little dry. Not bad.

from a bottle, very fresh pine yummy aroma. big rocky heaad does not fade. hops are quite apparent yet its difficult for it to get really rude as with most ipa wannah beez. fresh again on the flavor, probably what hops taste like recently squeezed. big long nasty bitter, did i say bitter finish. terribly on style bordering on double ipa territory. However, unlike many others in this style it never really gets nasty. did i chew on an old harley 5x16 inner tube?

Bottle. Clear amber color with ivory rocky head. Floral, dank, dry earth, hoppy aromas. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice hoppy pine, citrus flavors with a solid malt base. Nicely bitter finish--good
