3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a thin looking brown with a small tan head that disappears quickly. The nose is cocoa, cream and metal (yeah I know its what I smell). Taste is vanilla, chocolate, cola, and black cherries. The body is heavier than it looks though it has slight medicinal tingle factor that is present. Overall this is a slightly above average Imp. Porter. It suffers in the appearance and flavor departments with strange characteristics that I attempted to quantify. I wouldn’t pass this up if it were opened at a tasting, but I wouldn’t seek it out if there were other options.
Pours near black with a fine brown head. Nose is fairly mild with a bit of vanilla, coffee, and dark chocolate. Flavor is more strongly dominated by milk chocolate and vanilla with a little oak and booze. Finish is sticky and favors alcohol and semi sweet dark malts. Good but a bit boozy for only 8% bytemesis (9510) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - SEP 11, 2017

650 ml. no bottling date evident. Deep brown-mahogany with a thin disc of spongy foam. Smell is earthy chocolate torte, caramel cola and toasted walnut. flavors of caramel cola, earthy chocolate cake and toasted nut. Medium body has medium , mostly smooth fizz and leans a bit too sticky-sweet. furthur (1255) - Eagle River, Alaska, USA - NOV 11, 2016
Growler, almost black beer, decent walnut colored head faded to a skiff, some lace. Aroma is vanilla, molasses, chocolate, cookies. Taste is chocolate, cookies, dried cherries, coffee. Palate is rich and smooth, carbonation moderate. As usual, the longer I drink this the more I like it. I love the sour cherry edge. Bottle from Safeway in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is chocolate cereal and vanilla. Taste is kids chocolate cereals and marshmallows with an artificial vanilla note. Not very imperial either. Could barely get through it.

Strong dark chocolate aroma with licorice vanilla, wood, and light roasted coffee
Cocoa and vanilla very noticeable in flavor with bread and light coffee
Medium bodied with medium co2, lingering chocolate and vanilla finish
Well balanced and enjoyable imperial Porter.

Bomber poured into a pint glass dark brown with thin mocha head, barely any lacing. The aroma is of pure vanilla bean and dark chocolate, dark fruit and cocoa. The flavors are more of the same in a rich delicious blend. Would recommend this one to friends! rdixon77 (3106) - Georgia, USA - APR 7, 2016
Nice big porter. Vanilla dominates and almost gives it a weird coconut aroma. Plenty of chocolate. A mild bitterness. Solid. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - FEB 24, 2016
