Tasted at the 2008 Bistro Wet Hop Festival 10/4/2008. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white head. Aroma is herbal and orange. Medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are herbal and a touch reisny. Touch of rye spiciness. Decent carbonation. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Snojerk321 (2960) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 27, 2008
Tap @ O’Brien’s. Pours a medium copper color with an off white head that left no lacing. Big rye nose and flavor. Reminded me of a lame version of Hop Rod Rye from Bear Republic. trokini (1025) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 27, 2008
Pours clear amber-brown with nearly no head. Toasted rye bread and piney hops in the nose. Massive rye bite, drowning out any hops, wet or dry, that may have been there. If there is a such thing as a 'Rye Bomb' this could be it. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - OCT 26, 2008
On tap at O’Briens. Medium amber in color with a khaki/off white head. Aroma of wet malt, rye, fruit, apples and bread. Didn’t find the rye overly dominant, but I like rye. Flavor of rye, bread and fairly bitter. Not great hop flavor though. Has potential to be much better. WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 26, 2008
1st rating. Tap @ O’brien’s 4th of Wet hop fest. Pours dark amber with lacing and a tan had. Nose is big on the rye, huge rye. Taste is heavy on the rye, and very bitter. Not bad, but too bitter for me.
