Fair alcohol content makes it a good session beer and enjoyable amber. Better than many.

At Delirium Hoppy Loft. Sticky, stable, off-white head, clear bronze colour, actually darker than just amber. Aroma of orange peel, dried leaves, old cake, soy sauce, pink grapefruit, raisins, caramel. Subduedly fruity taste, caramelly, nutty, toasted, sweetish with bittersweet finish, medium carbo, leafy and lightly citrussy hops linger. A bit boring perhaps, but decent. Bottle @ home. Lightly hazy amber color, medium sized decently lasting off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly sweet malts, a slight hint of butter, hops, moderately bitter. Tastes a bit old, but best before date is July 2015. I suspect it’s a lot better, or at least just better when it’s fresh. slowrunner77 (13203) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 5, 2014
"another uninspired effort from BD, but it’s better than some of their other crap. below average in every aspect, but non-offensive...a moral victory?"

Pours a clear rich amber color with white head. More hops in flavor. Earthy hops mellow caramel malt. Medium bodied with medium carbonation, resinous hop finish. This is an excellent Amber Ale. Hops are delicious balanced with a nice rich caramel malt. DCLawyer (2931) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - MAY 1, 2013
4oz sample draft at RFD DC. Pours reddish-brown. Malty, earthy, metallic. Unpleasant. nick76 (4403) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 9, 2013
The aroma is sweet and malty with caramel and toffee, there is also grassy hops. The appearance is amber with a small head. The taste is like the aroma but a bit too astringent. The palate is average. Overall an average beer that is just to bitter for the style. vodka4blood (152) - Miltonboro, Vermont, USA - JAN 30, 2013
Smell might be the best thing about this beer - reminds me of leaves decomposing in a mountain stream..... but its not nearly as "supple" (subtle?) as the lable would have you believe. Digital_Aura (228) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 8, 2013
12 oz. bottle.
Pours a deep tawny brown (Lovibond 20) with big time lace (no head). Aroma mildly sweet - earth, moss, greens.
Initially sweet dark fruit tastes - changes to cardboard, metal, and earthy hops. Not unpleasant, just not balanced. Good palate, nice carbonation. Average beer. Slakes the thirst though! jkwood04 (5472) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 4, 2013
12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours amber with a lacy, cream colored head. Aroma of caramel and pale malts, some floral hops, and hints of fruits. Flavor more interesting than many amber ales. Average texture. A decent beer for the style.
