I know my brother in law would give this one a 10 out of 10...and overall 20.. I am a fan of Ambers now because of this beer. Had on tap at BFBH and everytime is is a dark rich color with a lot of flavor. sometimes a smoked taste. VENOM (941) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 12, 2002
Clear golden amber. Modest off white head. Toasty, lightly sweet with a generous German hop charge. Clean, quenching and fresh. Touch of Munich toastiness. Long toasty sweet finish. Very nice.bsm80 (144) - Massapequa Park, New York, USA - SEP 7, 2008

Clear light amber. Thick white head. Rich Vienna maltiness. Touch of nutty sweetness. Medium body. Finishes a touch bitter but a very good brew.
UPDATED: OCT 11, 2008 Pleasant malty nose, light on the hops, hints of smokiness, great finish, crisp refreshing beer, I had one and kept ordering them...next time I’ll try some others... beastiefan2k (4054) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - SEP 2, 2006
Served in a tall mug at the brewpub. Color is brown with amber tints. Medium fothy head. Can see through it if you try hard and some visible carbonation. Aroma is present - mainly nutty and sweet malt dominant. Has an earthy aspect. Much sweeter thanan marzen I have come across. Taste is also nutty and malty but a bit more watered down than the aroma implies. Leaves a sweet woodsy aftertaste. Average mouthfeel with low bitterness. Deep amber beer with a thick white head. Aroma is quite malty and sweet. Clean profile with a light floral/noble hoppiness. Sweet and bready tasting with a nice clean finish. Soft caramel and toasted malt with a nice nutty maltiness. Nice brew.

Tap at BF. Aroma of bready malt, some woodiness, peppery notes. Flavor doughy malt, balancing bitterness, lots of rich nuts on the back end, definitely the highlight of the brew for me. Pretty good. apoptosis (1317) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 4, 2004
I was impressed with the fullness in the flavor compared to many of the marzen’s I’ve had. The body was copper and heady. Green raisins, and highly malty. Smooth, and as notalush points out, also bready, yeasty. notalush (5910) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - SEP 4, 2004
Big vienna malt qualities and a smooth, bready flavor are balanced by a slight hop bitterness - somewhat of a yeasty finish - pretty good, but their pilsner is better. Chapel (468) - Levittown, New York, USA - AUG 15, 2007
This pours a very nice copper color. It has a toasted malt kind of flavor and aroma. The finish is somewhat hopped, which is enjoyable, but I can’t help but think that it is hopped to cover up a mistake. Very interesting as I didn’t know Marzens to have much of a hop character. joekinty (263) - rockledge, Florida, USA - JUL 10, 2008
copper with a nice amount of head slightly hoppy with a nice amount of maltiness with a bit of bready flavor taste good
