Clear light golden straw. Frothy white head. Thick Hallertau bitterness. Medium body. Dry, quenching and satisfying. Clean and supremely crafted. Long hop finish. A solid version. JoeMcPhee (10129) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 17, 2008
Wow... I was expecting nothing from this brew, and I was so wrong. Hazy golden beer with a thick white head. Very fresh bright noble hop aroma Bright and citrusy with a light zesty character and a hint of floral sweetness. Crisp herbal/floral hoppiness. Softly minerally which helps accentuate the light crackery malts and floral bitterness. Crisp, crackery finish. This is an excellent pils... the best I’ve had in over a year. Thanks to beastiefan2k for insisting that I try it. beastiefan2k (4180) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - SEP 23, 2006
Served in a tall mug at the brew pub. Color is muted golden, murkym cant see through the beer at all (something different for a pils). Small head turns into a thick lacing. Aroma is present - nice - lemony, hoppy, very brisk and effervescent. Taste is surprisingly full, has a cookie malt presence thats kicked off with a lemon zing. This is really the best damn Pilsner I have ever tried. Has a slightly acidic mouthfeel with a lemony aftertaste. MaiBockAddict (1497) - Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA - APR 25, 2004
Tap NY Draft. Clear yellow white head. Reasonably clean aroma. Flavor has a nice malty hop balance, crisp and clean. Decent pils.

Quite a malty pilsner - lots of sweet, almost fruity characteristics - crisp hops come in late though, to remind you what you are drinking - those that have rated this low most have had an off batch. MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 30, 2007
My Bottom Line:fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 9, 2009
Crisp haystacks and citrusy, grassy noble hoppiness coalesce into an amazingly authentic and flavorful German Pils.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-Rich, sticky foam laces all around the clear, very pale yellow.
-The understated aroma is a quiet announcement of the smashing crispness to follow.
-The vivacious carbonation may be a little too much.
-Some milkiness is found in the nose.
On tap at Tap NY.
Tap at BF. Aroma lemony with bitter, grassy hops, doughy, lightly grainy malt. Flavor has some pretty big bitterness on a biscuit malt base with increasing grain presence as it warms. Dank hops on the back end. Crisp finish of course. Really nice. apoptosis (1317) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 4, 2004
This is my second pilsner of the night. It was quite good, even for this style (in my opinion). It was somewhat sweeter, and heavier. Malty, yes, and even some hops (although expectedly mild). Looked nice, with a bright yellow body and decent head. Dickinsonbeer (5073) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 10, 2005
UPDATED: OCT 19, 2005 Nice pale straw color with a great head and good retention. Aroma is herbal earthy and spicy. Also has a good malt background. Flavor is sweet pils malt and good hop bitterness. Finishes slightly astringent but crisp and refreshing.
