An exceptional and unique brown ale. Smooth. Complex. Notes of tobacco, chocolate, and really well hopped. Ron (4325) - Rochester, New York, USA - DEC 20, 2017
Can. Pours out brown in color with a small off white head. Aroma is of light caramel, coffee, mild chocolate, caramel. Taste is much the same, some mild bitterness and toast,, Just a regular brown, beastiefan2k (4269) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - DEC 9, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 9, 2017 12oz can from somewhere. Oh, Bert's Bottle Shop. Saved a few bucks by making a sizer. This is particularly important because PA is such an overpriced beer state. This has been in my fridge for weeks. Then it sat on my counter for hours. So, to my surprise, this was a can gusher. Not too bad for opening but horrible for pouring. Poured this into Coney Island Brewing glass mug, sooooo much head. Shit... how much time has passed. I don't think I'm into this as much. Easy drinking but full of flavor including roast, watery buckwheat and some hay. puboflyons (3595) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 8, 2017
From the 12 fl. oz. can with no notable date. Beautiful looking amber-red with a long-lasting, foamy tan head that leaves plenty of lacing. The aroma is sweet and nutty right away with maybe this molasses character playing up underneath. Low earthy hop profile. Medium to full body. The taste is also quite sweet and nutty with a mild yet clean bitterness on the end. ogivlado (8480) - Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 7, 2017
Canned 355ml. -Darker amber coloured, medium sized pale beige head, light caramel in the nose. Slightly roasted malt, some caramel, light herbal and nutty with short bitterish finish. Pretty average.

Can from Smith's. Pours hazy brown with tan head. Earthy brown malt, grainy nose. Caramelly, cereally flavor, some earthy, nutty, and hop notes. Solid example of a typically mediocre style. ben4321 (6948) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 8, 2017
Draft at District Tap House.
Dark brown, nice light brown head and strong lacework. Roast and bread. Coffee and spice. Clean and malty. Smooth. Surprisingly good. meccahh69lol (366) - New Haven, Connecticut, USA - SEP 1, 2017
Sniff sniff, smells fine. Appearance is dark. Slurp, it's not quite smoky, but it has the same sort of charcoally taste, do you agree? More mild and nutty than a stout, but overall not bad. It goes down easy enough, but nothing too special. Good for a Friday night screening on Johnny Guitar while cookies cool in the kitchen. keepersj12 (3143) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - AUG 12, 2017
One of the better browns I’ve had in a while. Nice maker aroma and the flavor has a good balance Bebum (1163) - Massachusetts, USA - JUL 23, 2017
Full body, intense flavor, high carbonation and heat for a low abv %, rich mouthfeel, long aftertaste.
Very bitter but plenty of sweetness, well balanced.
Dark roast flavors, burnt sugar, hoppy, yeasty.
