A lovely winter beer full of flavour that changes as you go down the glass and leaves you wanting another.
Cask at Doric Arch. It pours clear deep copper - brown with a small white head. The aroma is mellow, sweet, toffee, wood, twig, earth and leather. The taste is dry, bitter, twiggy, wood, chewy malt, leather, toffee and spice with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Run of the mill twiggy bitter. Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Glowing copper with a small head. Has some malt with some very light fruit and a touch of grain in its taste.

Hazed reddish amber with a medium sized off white head that soon dissipates to a swirl.
Nose is dark malt, toffee, biscuit.
Taste comprises carmel, malt, light spice, biscuit.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, some bitterness in the dry finish.
