Bottle from way back (chalk pen suggests Cornelius). #431 of 1272. Deep dark brown, frothy tan head. Woody coffee and liquorice. Medium full body, nice soft fizz. Sherry and vanilla woody caramel with smooth creamy coffee. Balanced bitter finish. This has to be the best of the three and makes me think the whisky barrel version I had was duff. Very nice. Bottle 886/1272. No head. Brown color. Oaky with a nice tuch of sherry, black currants and also a bit of citrus hops. Alcoholic taste with a hard bitterness and a dark roasted malt taste. Medium body and some residual sweetness. GenkiGonzo (1096) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 16, 2015
Bottle. Batch #45. Oily black pour with a small tan head. Boozy, caramel, burnt malt aroma. The cask helps stop it being too sweet without too much alcohol. Very light and smooth considering the percentage. GlasgowTAD (1898) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - AUG 7, 2015
