COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true pale ale. The full body and rich gold colour comes from a blend of wheat, pale ale and crystal malts. Its floral and lime citrus nose is created by the extensive use of carefully selected New World aroma hops. The final stage of dry hopping then produces a rich berry flavour for a big refreshing, satisfying brew.

Pint on handpump at the White Horse (Parsons Green, London). Big on the caramel, but a bit lacking on the hop I thought.

Bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg as Black Isle Organic Goldeneye Pale Ale. Medium-sized, mostly diminshing, lacing blond head. Clear brownish-amber body. Smell of nutty and light honeyed malts. Also a note of floral and grassy hops. Quite flavorfull. Strong malt body, both sweet peppery and light sourish. Bold bitterness. Fruity and floral hops for flavoring. Full for a 5.6% ale. Slick in the mouth. Lingering bitterness in the finish. A good one.

Light Amber in colour with frothy white head. Smooth with floral hoppy taste. Citrus aroma. Low carbonation and slight sweetness makes this a light drinkable beer, very nice indeed.

Rich malt aroma with a subdued and oddly enough, almost fresh caramel tone. Soft and sweet taste of caramel malt and fresh hops. A nice beer with a rather special flavor!

[email protected] balcony Pours copper coloured w very thin head. Aroma first of flowers and hay, then a bit like a moldy old cellar! Taste is similar, bitter, but a bit boring. Mouthfeel is ok. Not my kind of pale ale.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear, medium gold, white head. Malty, quite hoppy aroma, citrus, earth, apricots, butter, saffron (!), faintly smoky (phenolic? unclean?), rye bread. Dry, medium bodied, medium bitterness, balanced CO2. The taste is malty, and rather hoppy, rye bread, earth, citrus peel, faintly smoky/phenolic. Robust, quite drinkable, undeniably Scottish.
