Bottle. Pours a black color with a fair tan head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, oats and bit of dark fruit. taste of roasted malt, oats, bit of dark fruit and chocolate in the background. Nice bitterness with a fairly clean finish. Medium body, creamy with a bit of a toasted malt character. Not too bad.

Pour is a thin black with a small tan head. Aroma is a decent roasted oat with a bit of char thrown in for good measure. Flavor is a nice roast and char malt all around. Maybe a bit too thin but the roast and charred oat leave a nice flavor on the tongue. Pretty nice oatmeal stout. Plenty of roasted oat flavor with being over the top. Alcohol is hidden quite nice as well.

Bottle from Dan at Christmas. We had last night after Dan’s graduation dinner at Bad apples. Dark black pour with a light tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, oats, chocolate and a slight sweetness. Very smooth tasting, sweet, creamy, roastd malt, all around well balanced taste. Nice lacing on the glass.

Bottle shared at Craig’s. Vintage c. 2008. Pours deep brown with a creamy beige head. The nose has some faded toast, light apple. Light sweet flavor with tangy burnt wood, leathery berries, earth, cherry. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Oily. Tangy dark malts in the finish, further tangy berries, old wood. So so.
